Explorers

The UK Scouts Explorer units are a section of the Scouts organisation for young people aged between 14 and 18. The Explorer program is designed to provide a challenging and rewarding experience for teenagers, building their skills, self-confidence, and resilience through a range of activities and adventures.

Explorer Scouts are encouraged to take part in a variety of activities, including camping, hiking, water sports, climbing, and more. They work towards achieving badges and awards, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which recognises their personal development and achievements.

Explorer Scouts are also encouraged to take on leadership roles, such as planning and leading their own activities and events, helping to develop their organizational skills and teamwork abilities. Many Explorer Scouts also volunteer in their local communities, making a positive impact on those around them.

Overall, the UK Scouts Explorer units offer a fun and challenging experience for teenagers, helping them to develop important life skills, make new friends, and have a positive impact on their communities.
